MANILA--Marinerong Pilipino's late surge in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup continued on Monday with a 138-69 clobbering of Gamboa at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

The Skippers jumped out of a 24-all tie and buried the hapless Coffee Lovers from there en route to the 69-point blowout, the second-most lopsided win in league history exactly two weeks after the Tanduay Rhum Masters mauled the Zark's Jawbreakers by 76 points.

Playing Coach Leo Avenido made a game-high 24 markers for Gamboa, which slipped to its eighth straight loss.
