Meralco sizzles in second half to depose ROS

ANTIPOLO—Meralco bucked a slow start and turned back Rain or Shine, 89-73, in their PBA Governors' Cup clash at the Ynares Center on Saturday night.

The Bolts slowly recovered from a sluggish first quarter and turned the tides for good in the second half, making 31 points in the third quarter and limiting the Elasto Painters to only 12 in the final frame.

Allen Durham came up with a 20-20 of 23 points and 23 rebounds and even came close to a triple-double with eight assists for Meralco, which remains on top of the standings.

Jared Dillinger contributed 16 points on four treys with two steals.

JD Weatherspoon led ROS with 19 points, 13 boards, two assists, four blocks, and two steals.
