MANILA--The country's biggest running event turned up a notch as the 41st running of the National Milo National Marathon was launched in Makati on Thursday.
Organized by fabled running coach Rio Dela Cruz, sixteen races were lined up this year, which will kick off in Urdaneta on Sunday, with Cebu hosting the National Finals on Dec. 3.
Laoag (July 23) and Roxas (Oct. 1) are the two new cities to grace the country's premier distance running tilt.
Metro Manila will host the third leg of the running series on July 30.
Centered on the theme "Magsama-sama, Tumakbo, Matuto", this edition will be driven by discipline, resilience and determination in which runners can take with them for their journey in life.
"This year, we shine the spotlight on the runners who are learning along the way and taking these lessons beyond the finish line to shape their lives," said Milo Philippines Sports Exec Robbie De Vera.
