PFL Rundown: Makati, Cebu split, Marikina-Davao called off

By Kevin Estrada

MANILA--Kaya Makati and Global Cebu played out an exciting four-goal standoff in a rain-soaked UMak Stadium in Makati on Sunday night.

Shu Sasaki's 27th minute opener was cancelled out by Jordan Mintah just 30 seconds after the restart, in which play was halted in the 73rd minute due to thunderstorms that hit the Metro.

Robert Lopez-Mendy gave Kaya the lead in the 89th minute but Sekou Sylla cancelled it out just a minute later, forcing the spoils to be shared between the two sides.

Meanwhile, JPV Marikina's hopes of regaining the lead from Meralco Manila came into a screeching halt in Rizal Memorial, as their return fixture against Davao Aguilas was called off after just 36 minutes of play due to thunderstorms in which Voltes lead by the slimmest of scorelines.

Satoshi Otomo will have to wait until Saturday's reverse fixture away at the capital side to open his account for the second-placed side with his second-minute strike the big casualty in the process.
