Inevitable. The Brothers ended their six-year stint with Manila
By Kevin Estrada

MANILA--Dropping a huge transfer bomb, PFL rookies Davao Aguilas succeeded in nabbing the biggest name in Philippine football hours before their third tiff with Meralco Manila on Saturday in Tagum.

The Jeff Cheng-owned club signed both Phil and James Younghusband from the Sparks, ending a six-year association with the capital club that saw them won a UFL Cup and a PFF Club Championship and became pioneers of overseas tournaments this decade when they play in the Singapore Cup five years ago.

With 69 league goals in 61 appearances, the younger Phil is the capital club's record holder for matches played and goals scored. The elder James appeared in 43 league games and scored 25 times.

The Sparks will be with the country's most famous sporting brothers for the final time later Saturday.
