MANILA--Wang's banked on a blistering third quarter showcase to zap Zark's 133-92, in their PBA D-League Foundation Cup match at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig on Monday.
The Couriers outscored the Jawbreakers, 46-12, in the third frame to stretch a 56-50 halftime lead to a 102-62 domination and never looked back.
"Gusto talaga namin no easy shots yung kalaban. Sumunod na lang yung opensa namin,” said Coach Pablo Lucas after the game.
Michael Juico dropped 30 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists, while Robbie Herndon nearly matched Zark's entire third quarter output with 11 of his 26 points coming in that said period for Wang's which has now won three of its last four games and moves up to 4-3.
Robby Celiz's 37-point explosion came for naught as Zark's fell to 1-6, losing its third straight.
