MANILA--Bruno Pucci showed his versatility by knocking out Jimmy Yabo in their match at One: Light of a Nation at the Thuwanna Indoor Stadium in Yangon on Friday night.

A jiujitsu practitioner, the Brazilian fighter showed that he is more than just a grappler by going on a quick ground-and-pound game that forced the referee to give him the KO win against his Filipino opponent at the 2:12 mark of the very first round. This is Pucci's first win by a knockout in his MMA career.

On the other hand, Mei Yamaguchi proved that she is ready for a second chance at Angela Lee's One women's title by submitting Jenny Huang in a battle of former Lee challengers.

The Japanese pugilist came up short of getting the submission win in Round 1, but she stuck to the game plan and finished the business with exactly a minute left in Round 2 through a rear naked choke.

In the main event, Aung La N Sang became Myanmar's first ever MMA champion after defeating erstwhile One middleweight champion Vitaly Bigdash in a highly-anticipated rematch.

With a longer time to prepare unlike his first meeting with his Russian opponent, the Burmese MMA star landed superb strikes that rocked his foe in Round 1.

N Sang, however, still had to fend off Bigdash's resiliency before taking home a unanimous decision win and the said belt.
