MANILA--Global Cebu picked up all three points in their final visit at Rizal Memorial, away at the transitioning Meralco Manila in the lone midweek PFL fixture on Wednesday.
Playing for the first time without the Davao-bound Younghusband brothers, the Sparks came up short, although their fighting spirit was still there when they kept in step with their Visayan visitors for the entire match.
The capital club fell behind early in the 17th minute when Milan Nikolic headed a Cebu free kick into his own net.
But Simon Greatwich made amends for it when he tucked in the equalizer into the empty net just before half-time.
However, OJ Clariño gave Cebu a tighter hold in third midway into the second half, securing their seventh win by converting on Jerry Barbaso's cross, heading into the far post of Ace Villanueva.
