PBA opens application for Oct. 29 draft

MAKATI--The PBA opened on Monday the application for the annual draft, which will take place on Oct. 29 at Robinson's Place Manila Atrium.

According to the PBA Commissioner's Office, Fil-foreign players have until Sept. 1 to apply for the draft.

The early deadline for the said players was set so that the league can devote the rest of September for protests regarding the eligibility of some players

Homegrown incoming rookies, on the other hand, can apply until Oct. 12.

According to Rickie Santos, the PBA deputy commissioner for basketball operations, the Draft Combine will happen sometime between Oct. 23-26 with the final details to be announced soon.

The final list of PBA Draft applicants will be unveiled on Oct. 27.

Among the high-profile players who are expected to join this year's draft are Jeron Teng, Thomas Torres, Jason Perkins, Dan Sara, and Rey Nambatac.
