PASIG—The PSC found a new partner in giving the Filipino athletes the nutrients they need for optimum performance in USANA.

The country's governing sports body and the choice supplemental brand among top local athletes formalized the newfound alliance on Wednesday through a memorandum of agreement signing at the PhilSports Complex.

PSC chairman Butch Ramirez and USANA vice president for the Philippines and Indonesia Aurora Gaston inked the MOA that will allow USANA to provide a two-year supply of its top supplements to each of 300 local athletes as part of the PSC's Philippine Sports Institute project.

"It is a privilege to work with the PSC-PSI in their goal to get our athletes ready to represent our country in the international sports arena," said Gaston.

"This is very timely given our preparations for the Southeast Asian Games and the buildup to the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo," added Ramirez.

Rubilen Amit and Japoy Lizardo, themselves USANA brand ambassadors, Olympic silver medalist Hidilyn Diaz, and chess legend Eugene Torre were among the athletes who graced the event.
