MANILA--Petrochimi walloped Chooks-to-Go, 87-66, in the final game of the group stages of the FIBA Asia Champions Cup at the Chenzhou Sports Center in Chenzhou, China on Tuesday night.
The Iranian side blasted the Filipino squad, 27-15, in the second quarter to blow the game wide open and never looked back.
Willie Warren dropped 30 points with two rebounds and one block, while Sajjad Mashayekhi added 15 points, six rebounds, and five assists for Petrochimi, which will take on Taipei in the knockout quarterfinals on Thursday.
Isaiah Austin and Kiefer Ravena each had 20 markers for the Gilas Cadets-bannered Chooks-to-Go squad, which will face current national team naturalized player Andray Blatche and Chinese side Kashgar in the other quarterfinal pairing later Thursday.
Meanwhile, it's Astana versus Al Ahli in another playoff tie, while the last quarterfinal match will have Al Riyadi taking on Mono Vampire.
