Phil Younghusband "feels different" about Rizal Memorial return as Davao player

MANILA--It may have surprisingly come a week earlier.

Still, Phil Younghusband saw his homecoming to the Rizal Memorial Stadium as a Davao player as a different kind of experience.

"It feels different now given the changes. We've got some good times here," said Younghusband, who once called the venue home during his stint with Manila with older brother James, on Saturday night following Davao's match against Negros.

The game, which was credited as a Davao home game, was supposed to take place in Tagum, but the unavailability of the Davao Del Norte Sports Complex prompted the club to have it instead at Rizal Memorial, not just making the match a Visayas vs. Mindanao game in Luzon but also giving the Younghusband Brothers a surprise return to the stadium as Davao's prized catches from the mid-season transfer window a week before Davao will face off with Manila.

Before that, Negros and Davao will clash again on Wednesday night back at the latter's real base in Tagum with the former looking to duplicate its 3-1 win here.
