PASAY -- Unbeaten league leaders Ateneo continued its stay at the top of the UAAP Men's Basketball wars, winning their fourth straight game with a comprehensive 83-65 win over UE Sunday afternoon at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Third-year guard Thirdy Ravena provided the goods once again for the now 4-0 Blue Eagles, scoring 21 points while coming up two boards short of a double-double game.
Three more guys in blue backed him up in double figures, with guard Matt Nieto producing 11 points and swingmen Aaron Black and Matt Nieto had 10 each for Ateneo.
Alvin Pasaol came off the bench to register 22 markers but their starting cast let Derrick Pumaren once again to join winless UST at 0-4.
Ateneo turned on higher gear from the opening tip and never looked back despite giving up the first two points and losing the third quarter by just one, leading by as much as 21 in the final frame and limiting them to just 13 fourth-quarter points.
