ANTIPOLO--GlobalPort's hopes of making the PBA Governors' Cup quarterfinals got a huge blow midway to its must-win game against Blackwater at the Ynares Center on Sunday night when Terrence Romeo was ejected.
Romeo was slapped with the disqualifying foul after venting ire on Henry Walker with5:01 left in the second quarter of the match.
Romeo, who was called for a dribbling infraction prior to the incident, confronted Walker and threw the ball at him out of frustration, prompting the referees to send him off.
The Elite are leading the Batang Pier, 62-51, at halftime, and a win by the Elite will give them a quarterfinal spot, eventually completing the cast.
