MANILA--Ginebra coach Tim Cone issued a public apology for his post-game action in Game 3 of the PBA Governors' Cup Finals.
Cone, who was irate when Meralco mentor Norman Black called a timeout with 38.1 seconds left despite his team comfortably ahead, refused to shake hands with him at the final buzzer and instead lashed out at him for the timeout calling.
"I regret my actions after Game 3 ended. Yes, I was upset about the timeout that was called late in the game, but there is no one in the PBA that I respect more than Norman Black. I got caught up in the moment and could have handled it differently," said Cone.
The said development means both coaches will be on good terms again ahead of Game 4 on Friday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
