LUCENA--For Allen Durham, the longer rest of Meralco may have affected the team too much in Game 1 of the PBA Governors' Cup Finals.

"We're just kinda lazy. We didn't play our game tonight," Durham said after the 87-102 blowout loss.

In particular, the import said, "We didn't shoot the ball well at all. You can't beat a team like Ginebra and not shoot the ball well."

Despite the poor shooting, the Bolts would pull a comeback bid in the third quarter with him as the anchor.

"I have to keep my second wind. In the second half came the wind. I played a little bit better. We actually fought back in the game," Durham explained how the third quarter went.

In the end, however, the comeback fell short as the Barangay pulled away for good in the fourth period.

"We had some crucial turnovers that killed us. We ran out [of gas]. It did not end well," Durham rued.
