QUEZON CITY -- Ateneo got its twelfth win after sweeping its UAAP series with UST in a convincing 102-83 rout Saturday afternoon at the Big Dome.

Despite the small runs made by the Growling Tigers, it was not enough as they failed to carry over the small momentum they had in the 3rd quarter, causing the Blue Eagles to completely pull away in the final frame.

Thirdy Ravena led all scorers with 20 points on a 64% clip from inside the arc, with Matt Nieto did the damage outside by firing 5/7 from rainbow country en route to 19 markers.

Oliver De Guzman led UST with 19 points but the Growling Tigers fell to 0-13 despite leading by two in the second quarter.

Ateneo saw its ten-point halftime lead evaporated to half by the end of third but they closed out the game with a 27-point explosion in the fourth, punctuated by a vicious throwdown by Ravena with 2:18 left in the game.
