PUERTO PRINCESA—The countdown to the 2018 PBA D-League season officially kicks off on Dec. 12 with the annual league draft.

The D-League opened the application for the draft, which serves as the start of the players' journey in the league that has become the stepping stone for the current PBA stars.

Homegrown players have until Dec. 1 to apply for the PBA D-League Draft, while the Fil-foreign players have a longer application period that will run until Dec. 10.

The PBA also asked the school-based squads for the names of their new players so they can be included in the draft.
