QUEZON CITY -- UAAP hosts FEU have slammed the door on UE's Final Four hosts after they boost their own chances with a 79-63 rout Sunday Afternoon at The Big Dome.

A fourth-quarter breakaway was enough for the Tamaraws as they moved up in level terms with a 6-6 card.

Jasper Parker went hot in the final frame, scoring half of his 18 points in the closing ten minutes of the game, while firing half of his six three-point attempts in the process.

UE will have to kiss their postseason hopes goodbye for the eight consecutive season after succumbing to their tenth loss in their penultimate game, as Alvin Pasaol's 18 markers went down the drain for the Red Warriors.

FEU started strong, getting the opening basket of the game on a Hubert Cani triple and led by as much as five but UE replied with a 12-3 finisher to wrest the lead from the Tamaraws at the end of the opening period.

UE continued their dominance in the second period, breaking away to lead by seven before Allen Trinidad fired a triple for a four-point Red Warrior lead at the half.

The Tams then took over in the third, first getting the lead on a 7-0 opening blitz but UE ought back from six down to tie the game after three quarters.

Despite letting Wilson Bartolome score to regain the lead for UE to open the fourth, FEU took the lead for good on a pair of triples by Hubert Cani and Arvin Tolentino, outscoring them by 16 in the payoff period.
