MANILA--It may be a little over a month already.
But Ginebra still wants to celebrate its PBA Governors' Cup title conquest with its fans.
The Barangay will host a free victory party with their legion of fans at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan City on Friday at 11 a.m.
“This is going to be our second celebration and this one is for our fans. This is our way of giving back to them. They’re the ones who bring life to our team and we’re not going to be here right now if not for them,” said Coach Tim Cone, whose team also celebrated its 2016 championship at the said arena.
“Everyone knows that we have the best fans in the league and we want to do everything we can to make them happy. The team and I are looking forward to spending time with everyone,” added Mark Caguioa.
San Miguel Corporation president Ramon Ang stressed the importance of the fans in Ginebra's historic back-to-back title runs, saying, “Salamat sa lahat ng fans. Kayo ang patuloy na nag-iinspire sa team. Kundi dahil sa inyo, wala po tayo dito ngayon.”
