MANILA--Global Cebu FC plays FC Meralco Manila this Sunday, at Rizal Memorial. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m.

The two sides have produced many memorable matches over the years and this one will likely be no different.

This PFL game will be Meralco's second-to-the-last regular season match. They close out the regular season on Nov. 24 against Ceres Negros, also in Rizal Memorial.

Global is the home team on Sunday. The match was originally scheduled to be played in Cebu but the unavailability of the stadium in the Queen City for a youth sporting event means it will be held in Manila.

Cebu is the only team in the league that Manila has not defeated all season long. In three games the Sparks have lost one against Global and drawn two.

Cebu still have Azkal Patrick Deyto between the sticks and he has been excellent against Manila in all three matches.

Meralco will count on their Azkal, Curt Dizon, for firepower. Dizon nearly struck for the Philippines last Tuesday against Nepal but his first-half attempt was saved by the Nepalese keeper.

Manila are still atop the standings on 54 points from 26 matches. Global are in fourth with 43 points after 25 games.

The league's fans are eagerly awaiting the playoffs that begin with a two-legged semifinals on Dec. 2, 3, 9, and 10 and conclude with a one-match final on Dec. 16.

The game this coming Sunday could very well be a preview of the final four if Manila and Cebu are drawn against each other then.
