Cone on Slaughter after Christmas "Clasico" showcase: "PH Cup is his conference"

BOCAUE--Ginebra coach Tim Cone somehow saw the seven-foot giant's Christmas night explosion against Magnolia coming.

"[The Philippine Cup] is really his conference," Cone said.

He even cited the case of the 2015 Philippine Cup where Slaughter at one point led the league in points and rebounds before the injury bug began to hurt his cause.

On Slaughter's stellar performance of 24 points, 13 rebounds, and four blocks, Cone said, "Greg was absolutely dominant."

Slaughter's domination helped the Barangay turn back the Hotshots at the Philippine Arena.

"He's our only real answer to Junemar [Fajardo], so we're fortunate to have him," Cone quipped.
