Phoenix gives new coach Alas first win in style, romps Kia

ANTIPOLO—Phoenix blew past Kia, 125-102, for its first win in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Ynares Center on Wednesday night.

The Fuel Masters led from start to finish and quickly mauled the Picanto as Louie Alas scored his first win as their head coach.

JC Intal, Justin Chua, and Matt Wright each tallied 15 points to lead eight Phoenix players in double figures as the team was efficient from the field, converting on 57 percent of its shots.

Rashawn McCarthy made 22 markers for Kia, but he had six of the team's 27 turnovers.
