LOS BAÑOS--European side OG proved to be too much for Filipino quintet TNC in the finals of the Mars DOTA 2 League in Macau on Sunday night.

Despite being just a minor tournament, implications for qualification in TI8 were at stake, and OG did not just take home US$130,000 (around PHP6.5 million) but as well got 150 DOTA Pro Circuit points which are vital in their bid to make it to Seattle next year outright.

TNC actually went to a hot start in the best-of-three round as the team went 3-0 to open Game 1 behind Carlo Palad's first blood as Storm Spirit and two more from Marc Fausto as Terrorblade.

But just as Johan Sundstein's Tiny began to work, so did OG's fightback, and Roman Fominok's mid-game domination as Morphling spelled doom for TNC, forcing the club to concede in the 39th minute.

OG then started red hot in Game 2, going 3-0 to begin the rematch, and the team made sure that it will not blow the opening barrage despite Fausto's Dragon Knight keeping TNC afloat. TNC called GG after a little less than 40 minutes.

TNC will still take home US$65,000 (about PHP3.25 million) and 90 DPC points for the runner-up finish.
