MANILA--Jr. NBA Philippines All-Stars Thirdy Ravena (2011) and Tyler Tio (2013) of the Ateneo Blue Eagles and Rhayyan Amsali (2014) of the National University Bullpups brought holiday cheer to the kids at the Pediatric Ward of the Philippine Heart Center (PHC).

The three Jr. NBA alumni together with Jr. NBA Coach Ruben Lanot distributed stuffed toys to the different wards and provided encouragement to the kids to continue their battle against various illnesses.

“I hope we made the kids feel the spirit of Christmas with the toys and pray that they continue being brave in fighting their everyday battles,” shared UAAP men’s basketball champion Tio.

Thirdy Ravena and Rhayyan Amsali added that the kids inspired and taught them the joy in the little things.

The Philippine Heart Center expressed its gratitude to their special guests as they boosted the morale of its patients.

Since 2015, Jr. NBA players and Larc & Asset PR have made charitable work an annual tradition during the holidays.

Jr. NBA Philippines, the league’s global youth basketball participation program, will be back in action in January.

Boys and girls ages 10-14 are encouraged to join the program which will mark its 11th year in the Philippines next year.
