Davao, Cebu make transfer moves

By JP Abcede

Davao Aguilas and Global Cebu have been burning the lines in order to add firepower in their respective rosters for the coming 2018 Philippines Football League, and in the case of the latter, its 2018 AFC Cup campaign.

The league runner up has lost Amani Aguinaldo to Ceres, Misagh Bahadoran to Perak TBG (Liga Super Malaysia), and Minegishi Hikaru to Pattaya United (Thai League 1). In their place are Jordan Jarvis of Davao as well as Jun Badelic, Gerardo "Jinggoy" Valmayor, Curt Dizon, and Daniel Gadia of the disbanded FC Meralco Manila.

Also reportedly on their way to Cebu are Marvin Angeles (Kaya), Angelo Marasigan (Ilocos United), and Chima Uzoka (Ilocos United).

Meanwhile, the Aguilas acquired Dennis Villanueva from Global, Josh Grommen from Ceres, Adam Reed from Kaya, and Tyler Matas from FCMM. JP Voltes mainstays ÅŒtomo Satoshi and Takashi Odawara have also inked a deal to go south.

In transfer news abroad, Daisuke Sato returned to Romania after signing with Sepsi Sfântu Gheorghe earlier this year. He was previously with AC Horsens of the Danish Super League. His last stint at Liga I was with CSM Politehnica Iași back in 2016-17.
