QUEZON CITY—Geje Eustaquio and Kairat Akhmetov collide again, but this time with a belt on the line.

Eustaquio and Akhmetov will headline One: Global Superheroes on Jan. 26 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay as they vie for the interim One flyweight championship.

Both fighters first clashed at One: Total Victory last September in Jakarta with Akhmetov scoring a controversial split decision victory over Eustaquio.

Akhmetov hopes for a more convincing win against Eustaquio, but he has to do it in front of the raucous pro-Eustaquio crowd at the MOA Arena.

“This is the first in four blockbuster events in Manila in 2018, and One Championship is looking to kick things off with a spectacular show. The Mall of Asia Arena will be pulsating with excitement as hometown hero Geje Eustaquio takes on Kairat Akhmetov in a highly-anticipated main event rematch. This time, it’s for the interim One Flyweight World Championship,” said One chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

In the co-main event, Joshua Pacio takes on unbeaten Pongsiri Mitsatit in a match that could shake up the One strawweight title picture.

On the other hand, Edward Kelly's opponent has been named in unbeaten Cambodian pugilist Meas Meul.

Dugout Philippines first reported that Kelly's older brother Eric will face Rafael Nunes in the said event.
