But just as everyone was beginning to head home, one player opted to stay for some late night shootaround.
And he turns out to be a cadet.
Juan Gomez De Liaño still shot some triples and free throws barely an hour after the practice was over.
On why he decided to make the most of his first day with the cadets crew by staying for another set of shooting, the reigning UAAP Rookie of the Year told Dugout Philippines, "I just want to get better each day. That's my mentality."
About his first day with Gilas Cadets, the former Batang Gilas stalwart said, "I'm so thankful and blessed to get an opportunity to be able to play and train with these guys. It's really exciting to play for Coach Chot and the Gilas team."
