PASIG--A mass exodus among the participating teams in Galaxy Battles 2 ensued.

Reeling from the revocation of its Major status and Virtus Pro's departure, five more teams that are part of the main draw and one of the competing teams in the wildcard phase bid adieu as well.

Reigning The International 8 champion Liquid was the first among the six to back out, while Secret, Optic, Newbee, and Mineski followed suit.

On the other hand, Kinguin, one of the four teams that will be part of the wildcard playoffs, also made its intent of backing out through its team manager Michal Jackowski.

The said clubs, who announced their decision to withdraw their participation on social media, cited the "de-Majoring" of Galaxy Battles as their primary reason.
