MANILA -- It has been a busy few weeks at the start of the year for several Philippines Football League clubs, one of them being Kaya FC Makati.

While some clubs pounced early during the transfer window by acquiring new talent, the Lions are looking to transfer its entire base of operations from Makati to Iloilo. And while rival FC Meralco Manila folded, the 2017 PFL fourth placers trudge on.

"There are concerns on what it may mean in the long run for the remaining clubs and the league. However, we must stay positive and continue going forward as the league is bigger than any one team," Kaya general manager Paul Tolentino.

"On our part, we proceed as planned. We are looking forward to the second season," he added. "We are preparing personnel-wise, and technically, in terms of better organization and trying to have a better showing in the coming season."

Meanwhile, Kaya's transfer moves have been subtle, promoting Michael Menzi from Kaya Team B and signing both Arnel Amita and Audie Menzi. Adam Reed, Marvin Angeles, Julian Matthews, Patrik Franksson, and Alfred Osei have been released by the club.
