QUEZON CITY—Greg Slaughter is on a tear this season.
Following a 24-point, 12-rebound, and four-block showing against Magnolia on Christmas night, the seven-foot Ginebra center once again provided an inside domination with an 18-point, nine-rebound, and five-block performance against GlobalPort.
The consistent showing led to Slaughter winning the PBA Press Corps Player of the Week award for Dec. 27-Jan. 7 as announced on Wednesday.
Slaughter got the citation over teammate LA Tenorio, Phoenix's Matthew Wright, Jason Perkins, and Doug Kramer, TNT’s Jayson Castro, Troy Rosario, and Mo Tautuaa, San Miguel’s June Mar Fajardo and Alex Cabagnot, and Blackwater’s Mike DiGregorio and Mac Belo.
