MANILA--The slam dunk contest that captured the hearts of basketball fans around the world will finally be seen on Philippine cable TV.

Warner TV will air the hit program "The Dunk King" beginning Feb. 1.

The said show, which was aired right after TNT's coverage of the NBA Conference Finals in 2016 and 2017, had dunkers showcase their rim-rattling skills for a US$100,000 prize pot.

Porter Mayberry and Jordan Kilganon, who once fought the Philippines' top dunker Rey Guevarra during some FIBA 3x3 World Tour events, became more prominent because of the said program with the former winning the first season.

"The Dunk King" will be aired every Thursday at 8 p.m.
