PASIG--Zark's Burger-Lyceum made shortwork of AMA Online Education, 109-85, on Thursday in the 2018 PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup at Ynares Sports Arena.
Cameroonian big man Mike Nzeusseu topscored for the Jawbreakers with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks to lead six other players in double-digits.
His highlight slam over Andre Paras with 2:44 gave Zark's Burger Lyceum a commanding 102-80 advantage en route to its second straight win.
CJ Perez also tallied 15 markers hauled 14 boards and had five dimes, Wilson Baltazar chipped in 13 points powered by three triples, while Jaycee Marcelino, MJ Ayaay, and Ralph Tansingco combined for 36 markers in the wire-to-wire triumph.
"Again, we want to keep on sustaining the energy," said coach Topex Robinson, after his chargers improved to 2-1 slate. "We want to change the way the D-League will be played. They have to keep up to us rather than us keeping up with the rest of the D-League."
The back-to-back victories was the best start for the Jawbreakers' since going 1-9 in its maiden campaign in the 2017 Foundation Cup under coach Jade Padrigao.
Zark's Burger-Lyceum raced to a 15-6 advantage and extended the margin to as big as 27, 109-82 late in the game courtesy of its 26 fastbreak points and 57 bench points.
Genmar Bragais carried the Titans with 29 points and nine rebounds, while Michael Cañete had 22 markers and seven boards for AMA which absorbed its second straight loss.
