QUEZON CITY--With Blackwater serious in its bid to enter the PBA Philippine Cup playoffs, Coach Leo Isaac opted to let Mac Belo play on Friday night a strained hamstring that forced him to sit out the team's game against San Miguel last week.

But in his 15 minutes of play, Belo seemed like he's not injured at all, making eight points on 4-of-6 shooting.

"OK naman. Nagle-lessen naman yung tightness," Belo replied when asked about the status of his injury.

A 95-76 win against Kia was the icing on the cake in his comeback.

"Malaking tulong sa amin yun, kasi nabigyan kami ng confidence," Belo said about the win.

However, he credited the win to a revitalized flow of the Elite's offense.

"Maganda na yung tinatakbo ng team namin like yung teamwork namin. Balanced scoring lahat," Belo further said.

All but three players scored for Blackwater.

Mike Cortez, despite being among the three scoreless Elite players, provided good contributions as well with three rebounds, one assist, and one steal in nine-and-a-half minutes of play.
