MANILA -- Global Cebu and Bali United are looking forward to bounce back from contrasting setbacks ahead of their crunch encounter in the AFC Cup on Tuesday evening.
Cebu tactician Marjo Allado was quick to stress the importance of their Group G tie, after both clubs dropped their opener last week.
"This is a crucial game for both teams. We will fight for the three points," Allado said on Monday as they lock horns with the Indonesian side to get out of the bottom of the pile.
Patrick Deyto echoed his mentor's sentiments as they expect a different Bali to come out after losing heavily to Yangon United on matchday one.
"They (Bali) lost versus Yangon but that is not a definitive conclusion of their strength,"
However, he expressed optimism at his team after losing their vaunted core led by Misagh Bahadoran in the close season, as he credited their preseason schedule as a catalyst in gelling together quickly.
"We lost some good players from last season but management did a decent job if replacing them," Deyto concluded.
