MANILA -- Global Cebu leaned on the gloves of Patrick Deyto to split the points with Bali United in their AFC Cup tiff on Tuesday night at the Rizal Memorial.
The Queen City side were set to lose for the second time in a row after blowing an early lead, but his key saves down the stretch helped secure their first point in group G.
Curt Dizon put the home side ahead just 11 minutes in, heading the rebound ball after Angelo Marasigan caught Wawan Hendrawan by surprise as his cross hit the crossbar.
However, Ilija Spasojevic silenced the majority of the 365 paying patrons with a header from a corner in the 74th minute.
Bali then had a chance to steal all the points after five minutes, but Deyto correctly guessed the spot and palmed it away to his right.
Cebu then almost won it in the end, but Wesley Dos Santos hit the left side netting on the final kick of the match.
