PASIG -- With the second season of the Philippines Football League kicking off in a week, they have secured a major partner Thursday morning by forging a multiple-year deal with Sportradar.

Their newly-minted strategic partnership that was signed in Marco Polo Hotel in Ortigas was focused on two aspects: overall data distribution and integrity services, which will give the league a huge boost in all fronts.

In the data distribution aspect, the PFL will be the first in Asia for their over the top (OTT) platform by combining high quality streaming and video content with interactive stats, as well as giving the league options to maximize its commercial potential.

The said platform will be made available to everyone regardless of devices they use, anytime and anywhere.

Second, the league and the data provider launched its Integrity Always campaign to combat match-fixing that is haunting the sport in Southeast Asia.

“We are particularly encouraged by the PFL’s commitment to keeping the league clean, and we are confident that the engagement of our Integrity Services will safeguard the league against match-fixing”. said Biplav Gautam, Sportradar's Director of Business Development in Asia.

Apar from conducting workshops that tackles the dangers of throwing matches, as well as complementing the coverage delivered by the company’s partnerships with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and FIFA, Sportradar Integrity Services will monitor, identify and analyse suspicious activities relating to the league through its award-winning Fraud Detection System.

PFF President and LFI chairman Mariano Araneta hailed the deal as a step forward for Philippine  football

“We are delighted to have a trusted global brand such as Sportradar join our journey, a company that shares our passion and sees the potential of the league,” Araneta said.
