MANILA--Rain Or Shine finally secured a seat in the PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinals after stunning San Miguel, 95-80, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay on Wednesday night.

The Elasto Painters outscored the Beermen, 35-18, in the payoff period to pull away for good.

Beau Belga led ROS, which can secure the fourth seed in the next round with a win against Ginebra on Friday night, with 19 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and five steals.

Jewel Ponferada added 17 points, three rebounds, and one block off the bench.

Junemar Fajardo brought his fine showing for Gilas over the weekend to SMB, making 19 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks.

Despite the loss, the Beermen will still enter the next phase as the top seed owing to the winner-over-the-other advantage they have against the Magnolia Hotshots.
