PASIG--San Beda completed a 3-0 sweep of its quarterfinal assignments in the PCCL with a 79-35 romp over La Salle at the Ynares Sports Center on Sunday.
The Red Lions opened the game slowly, but their stifling defense against the Green Archers sufficed for them as they quickly opened a huge lead as their shots began to fall.
Clint Doliguez and Calvin Oftana led San Beda, which will face the losing side in the final game of the Elite 8 round between Ateneo and Lyceum later Sunday in the semifinals the day after, with 12 points each.
Mark Alcala made 12 markers, four boards, and three steals for La Salle, which ended its stint in the national playoffs at 0-3.
