MANILA–TNC will be heading to a Major after all.

With Armel Tabios joining the TNC Pro Team to replace the Canadian import Theeban "1437" Siva, the now all-Filipino squad clinched a spot in the DOTA 2 Asia Championships after ranking second the Southeast Asia Qualifiers.

After 1437 left the team, Carlo "Kuku" Palad gained the captaincy of the team and dropped from Position 2 to Position 5 to give way to their new midlaner Armel

Proving his worth for the position, Armel impressed everyone with his signature hero Outworld Devourer beating the Malaysian team Fire Dragon and Indonesian pride Boom ID in the early stage of the best-of-three double eliminations.

After reaching the winner’s bracket’s final, TNC dropped to the lower bracket finals after losing to Mineski, 2-0.

With last ticket for DAC is on the line, Team Fnatic faced TNC.

After Fnatic had a 1-0 lead, the new chemistry of TNC led them to the final game, where Armel’s Outworld Devourer’s Beyond Godlike streak and the unstoppable pushing capability of Marc Polo Luis "Raven" Fausto’s Luna dominated the 36-minute game.

The TNC Pro Team will now proceed to the Major event to collect Pro Circuit Points for the upcoming The International (TI8).

The main event will take place from March 30-April 7.
