QUEZON CITY--San Miguel opened its PBA Philippine Cup semifinal campaign with a dominating performance against Ginebra at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Friday night.

But Coach Leo Austria believes there is nothing to take away from the Barangay.
"Ginebra is playing really well before this game. Pagod lang siguro sila," said Austria.
Despite the fatigue becoming a factor, Ginebra actually shot well from the field, making 48.7 percent of its shots.
The Barangay actually won the rebounding game as well, especially that Austria opted to cut down Fajardo's minutes a bit.
However, what costed them the win was their turnovers and struggles from deep.
Ginebra committed 25 turnovers compared to only 18 by SMB, whereas the former only made five three-pointer against 16 by the latter.
The Barangay played their fourth game in the last eight days, and they are expected to play seven in 14 days as Games 2, 3, and 4 will happen on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday respectively.
