MANILA -- Adamson leaned on their hot bats and timely pitching to clinch the UAAP softball crown once again, clawing UST apart, 6-0 in the third and final game of their championship series today at the Rizal Memorial.

Maximizing their winning pedigree, the Lady Falcons of Ana Santiago opened the floodgates in the fifth and sixth innings with timely hits by season MVP Jeanette Rusia and Edna Severino to pull away from a close contest to seal their eighth consecutive crown.

Not only that, they also repeated a rare double of baseball and softball titles won at the same season which themselves made 19 years ago, back when the legendary Filomeno Codiñera was at the helm.

Severino and fellow co-Finals MVP Lyca Basas came clutch in both ends of the diamond to shut the door on the Tigresses and Ann Antolihao's bid to end the streak.

Edna Severino drove in 2 RBIs in four hits, while also scoring four of those runs, while Basas pitched a complete game shutout and limited the UST bats to just three hits to complete the rout.
