LOS BANOS--Nomads look to bounce back from their bad beat to Eagles in the second round of the SPI 15's at the Southern Plains Rugby Field in Calamba on Saturday.
Eagles, who have been calling the said venue their home, mauled Nomads last week in the first round, 51-8, but for PRFU official Jovan Masalunga, the Paranaque side can bounce with a bang against the Calamba-based squad in their 4 p.m. match-up.
"Round 2 this weekend will be interesting. The Nomads deep down know they have a stronger team than usual. With some new faces in their squad, it may take a game or two before they hit their strides," said Masalunga. "It’s always a fierce battle. The teams respect each other. However on the field, it’s all about club culture and tribalism."
The Nomads-Eagles game is the main event of a triple-header.
In the curtain-raiser at 12:30 p.m., SKF takes on Eagles in the U19 division, while a women's exhibition game featuring players from Eagles, SKF, and Makati will take place at 2:15 p.m.
Also, a superhero-themed touch rugby festival will happen at the start of the day at 9 a.m.
