PASAY--San Miguel dropped a close Game 3 against Ginebra in the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals at the Mall of Asia Arena.

But when asked by reporters on why the Beermen fell short, skipper Arwind Santos offered an interesting answer.

"Parang may mga shadow yung mga players kanina. Parang yung lima, nagiging walo," Santos claimed. "Nahihirapan kaming bantayan [sila] kasi lima lang yung kalaban, pero nagiging walo."

Despite the extra "shadows", Santos said that he could not believe SMB had a chance--two chances to be exact-to blow Ginebra's 14-point lead and steal the Game 3 win.

"Ang masasabi ko sa game na ito: nakakatawa. Muntik pa sila," he further said. "Naka-swerte lang din. Naka-shoot ng three points si [Prince Caperal]. Medyo lumayo sila. Sayang. Konti na lang."
