Calabarzon and Western Visayas displayed fluid softball efficiency as they butchered their respective adversaries in the 2018 Palarong Pambansa Softball gold medal matches at the Cirilo Lao Construction Compound, Friday.
The Heroes displayed their stonewall defense in defending the diamond against their bitter rivals Metro Manila Stalwarts to take gold in the Secondary Girls side, 10-0.
Calabarzon jumped right off the block and denied the Stalwarts from start to finish.
NCR could not find the right mix to overturn an insurmountable scoring spree as the Heroes dominated all aspects.
Meanwhile, Western Visayas hacked out Central Visayas, 10-2 in the battle-for-bronze.
In the Elementary Final, Western Visayas avenged their elders with a masterclass 15-0 butchering of Davao Region.
An eight run third inning avalanche capped WV's performance to the delight of their supporters at the Cirilo Lao field.
SOCCSKSARGEN meanwhile denied Calabarzon a podium finish with a 14-5 pounding.
