MANILA--Rain Or Shine is undefeated in two games at the start of the 2018 Honda PBA Commissioner’s Cup. Blame that on Chris Tiu.

The five-foot-11 guard provided the offensive spark in the Elasto Painters’ two-game streak in the mid-season conference, worthy of being awarded the first PBA Press Corps Player of the Week on opening week.

The 32-year old Tiu averaged 14 points, 6.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds in ROS’ wins against Alaska and Barangay Ginebra, edging out teammate Raymund Almazan and the TNT gurad trio of Jayson Castro, Terrence Romeo, and Jericho Cruz.

In the team’s initial encounter against Alaska last Friday, Tiu scored 18 points, six rebounds, and three assists while backing up import Reggie Johnson to pull off a 109-103 overtime victory.

And on Sunday night against the crowd darlings Ginebra, the ex-Ateneo registered 10 markers, seven assists, and four boards in a 108-89 win.

Rain Or Shine is now tied with TNT at 2-0 . They will next meet the NLEX Road Warriors Wednesday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.
