On the other hand, Willy, from Western Visayas, took the gold in the elementary hurdles after finishing at a time of 16.3 seconds, 0.1 second faster than the old record set by Jesusa Ampunan in 2010.

NCR's Naesren Macabangkit took the silver after crossing the finish line at 16.63 seconds, while Wency Eli of Eastern Visayas grabbed the bronze after finishing the race in 16.76 seconds.
