BIÑAN -- Stallion Laguna survived being a man down to shock Davao Aguilas, 3-0, in the tail end of the PFL's back-to-back treat at the Binan Football Stadium on Sunday night.

Despite losing Jason Cordova due to a straight red, quick goals from Carlo Polli and Jhan-Jhan Melliza midway through the second half did the trick for Laguna as the club handed Davao, which played minus Phil Younghusband, back-to-back defeats during the week.

It also made amends of their first meeting between them, when the home side were undone by a first-half strike

The former FEU defender, who played for Davao last season before returning to his old club, was sent off in the 65th minute following a hard sliding tackle on James Younghusband.

Polli, however, received a pass from Fitch Arboleda and struck the ball past Nick O'Donnell, who showed brilliance at the post in the first half to draw first blood in the 69th minute.

Then seven minutes later, Melliza received the goal kick of Hayeson Pepito and blitzed past everyone to double their lead.

Melliza then put the icing on the cake in the second minute of stoppage time, getting the ball back after O'Donnell saved his first attempt and putting the ball back in to complete his brace.

Laguna zoomed to fourth place in the league table, overtaking Marikina on goal difference.

Davao, on the other hand, remained on 11 points after seven.
