ANTIPOLO-- Alaska continued its winning ways by besting erstwhile unbeaten TNT KaTropa, 110-100, in the first game of Sunday action of the PBA Commissioners Cup at the Ynares Center here.

The win enabled the Aces to notch its third straight victory in four games while snapping the KaTropa's three-game win run in the process.

Waxing hot right from opening tip, the Aces built a 12-2 start in the first quarter, then kept its momentum in the next three quarters, with several double-digit bubbles along the way.

Vic Manuel's jumper gave the Aces its biggest margin at 25, 92-67, at the 10:50 mark of the final period and never looked backed since. TNT tried to retaliate with a last-ditch effort, but it came out short.

Manuel came out with a double-double effort  off the bench with a game-high 29 points and 11 rebounds, missing just six of his 18 attempts from he field. Import Antonio Campbell notched 23 markers and 14 boards, while JVee Casio was the other double-digit scorer with 10.

TNT guards Jayson Castro and Terrence Romeo anchored the TNT offensive with 18 and 17 points, respectively, while reinforcement Jeremy Tyler cashed in 16 on 6-of-15 shooting from the field.

The Aces will face defending champions San Miguel in Dumaguete City next Saturday.
