SAN JUAN -- St. Benilde remain unscathed in group B of the FilOil-Flying V Premier Cup, after taking down UST in a slightly heated affair 99-87 Wednesday afternoon at the San Juan Arena.

The Blazers pulled away in the second half to turn a close game into a mini rout, sending the Growling Tigers to their third loss in four games.

All but one player fielded by TY Tang scored at least a field goal, with Clement Leutcheu leading the way with a double-double of 22 points and 15 rebounds.

Combo backstopped the Cameroonian with 16 on a 70% clip from the field.

Ken Zamora came off the bench to score 22 for UST, with Zach Huang backing him up with 21.

Reigning UAAP Jrs. MVP CJ Cansino was limited to 8 as Aldin Ayo's rebuilding of the Tigers got them down to 1-4

The heated nature of the game was evident in the entire game as it featured flying bodies and wayward elbows.

It reached its peak in the third, when both Ira Bataller and RR Pagulayan were tossed in the 4:12 mark due to double technical fouls.

"The only thing that I told the players is that you got to be mentally tough out there. It's not about being able to bang around, it's about being able to play within the environment and still win after the forty minutes of the game and I think we just handled it well," Tang said after the game.
